Emirates announces the organization of the summit «future air transport systems» in Dubai next January

The General Authority for Civil Aviation in the UAE (GCAA) yesterday to organize a summit on «the future of air transport systems» where the summit will be held in Dubai on 18 and January 19, 2015. Said Ahmed Al Jallaf, Deputy Director General for Air Navigation Services in the General Authority for Civil Aviation, and Chairman of the program to strengthen the management of air traffic in the International Civil Aviation Organization: «summit brings together systems, air transport future and meeting program enhance air traffic management, organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization highlighted concerned and officials in the sector of air traffic management systems, avionics and ground operations, to discuss current and future activities. As said Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Authority for Civil Aviation in the UAE: «air transport sector is one of the main pillars of economic growth, not only in the UAE but throughout the region and the world. However, the air traffic in the region has recently seen great pressure to accommodate the congestion happening currently. Improving the level of air transport in the UAE and contribute to the improvement of the level in the region as a whole at the top of the priorities of the General Authority for Civil Aviation. In this sense, the body comes to hosting this summit to strengthen the program by the Meeting of Air Traffic Management, organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization, in order to promote joint action and discuss the best projects and activities that are appropriate to the circumstances and needs of the region ». The UAE is among the fastest-growing air transport markets in the world, where he is expected Union International Air Transport Association (IATA) value growth of 6.3% annually in this sector in the region. This is evidenced by the new reality outweigh the Dubai International Airport to Heathrow Airport in London in terms of international air traffic, ranking the first place worldwide earlier this year.
